Vacation Day 2-Sunday

The day before we promised Addie we would take her the alligator farm. So around 10:30 we loaded up in the Jeep and headed off to Hot Springs. We were there in time for the feeding. The alligators were feed raw chicken legs. They had a small petting zoo where you could feed the goats if they didn't eat you first. Addie and Bill feed the goats. We saw other animals--deer, llamas, emus, turkeys, ducks, mountain lions, raccoon, turtles, peacock, wolf, chickens, primates.

After the alligator farm, we went to lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings. They had great burgers. Addie is finally getting the potty training down. We had to make a couple of trips to the bathroom while we were there. This was Addie's first experience with automatic flushers and water dispensers. She jumped when the toilet flushed. It was priceless! The other thing about the potty is Addie has to go in there when she passes gas and she will tell you she had gas.

After lunch we drove around some more. We ended up at the airport so Addie could look at the planes. She was pretty impressed. Then we stopped in Big Lots since the one we had in our town closed. Addie thought she was a big girl and didn't need to hold Momma or Daddy's hands. But we did manage to make two or three trips to the potty here. (the joys of potty training)

Our last stop was up West Mountain to take some scenic pictures. We stopped near the top and walked down one of the trails. Addie had a lot of fun. We had a conversation with a couple of bikers. The man keep making noises and Addie would imitate him.

Vacation Day 1 Saturday

Saturday was the first day of our vacation. It has been almost 3 years since I have had a full week off. Not since I was on maternity leave.
Saturday was not that exciting. I spent the morning cleaning my kitchen. Doing the heavy duty stuff of pulling everything off the counter then scrubbing down the counter tops. Wiping down the cabinet doors, cleaning the top of refrig, etc...The end results--clutterfree cabinets.


This is the neighborhood stray cat that thinks my front porch belongs to her. I was playing around with the camera and got these shots of her and her kitten. Normally, she will not stay out there when I come out the door but I guess after over 3 years, she is getting use to me.


I did manage to get a couple of scrapbook pages done



Bill made spaghetti and meatballs for lunch. It was delicious.
We went to Moe's ( www.moes.com ) for dinner. It was yummy. After dinner, we went driving around. We took Addie to the airport to check out the airplanes.
